- Project Description: King Abdullah Sports City is a new multi-use stadium and sports city located 3km north of Jeddah’s King Abdul Aziz International Airport and close to the city of Jeddah. It is 2km x 1.5km in area and bounded to the east by Al-Haramain Highway and to the west by Al-Madinah Highway. The project includes a 60,000 seat main stadium, a grand plaza & mosque, a 2000 seat sports hall, a 1000 seat athletic stadium, outdoor pitches & courts and a parking lot.
Scope of work
- Al Hussaini Automation Company was responsible for the entire electrical works of this fast track project including the main stadium pitch lights, 640 No’s with a combined load of 1.12 MW
- Electrical installation for levels 3, 5 and 6 of main stadium, Lightning protection network 5800 meters of aluminum lightning tap at roof of stadium, 65m max. height.
- Erection of 6 aviation lights medium intensity dual LED lighting system at roof of stadium at 65m max. height.
